09-277 Thursday October 1st at 9:50 am Rescue 11
was dispatched MA with 1st Consolidated Fire for an MVC rollover
at 1790 St Rt 95 in Canaan Twp. 1st Consolidated arrived on the
scene and cancelled Rescue 11 at 9:57 am returning to quarters
at 10:05 am.
09-278 Thursday October 1st at 2:40 pm Rescue 11
responded MA with Medic 1 and Medic 9 to 5255 St Rt 95 Consolidated
Electric for a man that had fallen from a pole. Rescue 11 arrived
on the scene at 2:45, Medic 1 arrived on the scene at arrived
at 2:47 pm. Rescue 11 personnel had located the patient and directed
the Medic to the location. One crewmember drove the squad to
MCH. Rescue 11 returned to quarters by way of MCH at 3:25 pm.
09-279 Tuesday October 6th at 1:42 pm Rescue11
and Brush 12 responded non-emergency to a reported illegal burn
at 5561 St Rt 42 North. Upon arrival at 1:49 pm the fire was
determined to be an illegal fire with plastic, counter top and
carpet burning. The fire was extinguished and the owner was advised
of the burning regulations. All equipment returned to quarters
at 2:41 pm.
09-280 Thursday October 8th at 2:05 pm Rescue 11
responded to I-71 mm 151 for an involving a car and a pickup
truck. Two patients were transported to MCH. Rescue 11s
crew assisted with the patients and opening the driver door.
Rescue 11 returned to quarters at 3:05 pm.
09-281 Thursday October 8th at 3:53 pm Brush 17
responded to 5248 Road 108, Hidden Lakes to assist Squad 1 with
lifting. Brush 17 arrived on the scene at 4:03 pm and returned
to quarters at 4:30 pm.
09-282 Thursday October 8th at 6:07 pm Rescue 11
responded non-emergency to 5669 Road 109 for a malfunctioning
oil furnace. Rescue 11 arrived on the scene at 6:15 pm. Firefighters
set up a PPV fan and cleared the interior of the house of the
smoke. Rescue 11 returned to quarters at 7:00 pm.
09-283 Friday October 9th at 9:20 pm Brush 12 responded
MA with Squad 1 for lifting at 5248 Road 108, Hidden Lakes, to
assist with moving the patient from the trailer to the squad.
One of Brush 12s firefighters drove the squad to MCH. Brush
12 returned to quarters at 10:20 pm.
09-284 Sunday October 11tha t 3:44 pm Brush 12
advised that they have heavy black smoke in the area of 5359
Road 9. Upon investigating, found the fire to be illegal in content.
Firefighters extinguished the fire and returned to quarters at
4:40 pm. The owner of the property was advised of the burn regulations.
09-235 Monday October 12th at 10:20 am were requested
to 435 Catalpa Lane for low hanging wires. Rescue 11 responded
non-emergency at 10:20 am arriving on the scene at 10:21 am.
Firefighters investigated and found that the wire was cable TV.
The hook had pulled out of the house. Firefighters reattached
the hook to the house and pulled the wire tight up out of traffic.
Rescue 11 returned to quarters at 10:39 am.
09-286 Monday October 12th at 11:33 pm Rescue 11
responded to a reported CO alarm at 5606 U.S. Route 42 North.
Rescue 11 arrived on scene at 11:50 pm and in checking the main
floor and basement found levels of 30 ppm and 47 ppm inside the
structure. The owner was advised to have his furnace checked
out. He decided to leave for the night. Rescue 11 returned to
quarters at 12:30 pm.
09-287 Tuesday October 13th at 9:17 am Rescue 11
was dispatched to I-71 mm 151.5 for a semi off the roadway. Rescue
11 responded at 9:18 am and was cancelled by OSP at 9:24 am returning
to quarters at 9:30 am.
09-288 Tuesday October 13th at 3:50 pm Brush 12
was dispatched to assist Squad 1 with moving a patient form the
squad to the home. Brush 12 was released at 4:07 pm.
09-289 Tuesday October 13th at 4:07 pm Brush 12
responded from the previous location to 8979 Road 10 to assist
Squad 4 with moving a patient from the Squad to the home. Brush
12 was released at 5:00 pm to return to quarters.
09-290 Tuesday October 13th at 6:24 pm Brush 12
responded non-emergency to 112 Hill Street in Edison for an illegal
fire burning leaves. Unit 19-07 responded to the scene before
Brush 12 could arrive. The fire was extinguished and all equipment
returned to quarters at 6:45 pm.
09-291 Wednesday October 14th at 12:59 pm Rescue
11 and Engine 15 responded to MVC at mm 152 on I-71 north bound
in the median. Rescue 11 arrived on the scene at 1:10 pm. Firefighters
checked the vehicle for leaking fluids and assisted the EMTs
with the patient. Engine 15 staged at Sunoco Station and was
released at 1:09 pm. Rescue 11 was released at 1:22 pm to return
to quarters. Rescue 11 returned to quarters at 1:47 pm.
09-292 Thursday October 15th at 1:07 pm Rescue
11 was dispatched to 338 Park Avenue, High School, for a activated
fire alarm at the Vo-Ag building. Rescue arrived on the scene
at 1:09 pm and investigated the situation. It was determined
that the main garage door was open and then closed when the gas
heater in the ceiling turned on. The heat from the heater activated
the heat detector. It is planned to shut the heater off just
before the main door is closed and then start the heater. Rescue
11 returned to quarters at 1:39 pm.
09-293 Friday October 16that 6:42 pm firefighters
were dispatched to assist Squad 1 with a patient at 720 North
Main Street Lot #72. Firefighters arrived on the scene at 6:48
pm and were released at 6:59 pm.
09-294 Saturday October 17th at 11:01 pm firefighters
were dispatched to assist Squad 1 with a patient at 720 North
Main Street Lot #72. Firefighters arrived on the scene at 11:07
pm and were released at 11:33 pm.
09-295 Tuesday October 20th at 9:00 am Rescue 11
responded to 382 West High Street to care for a patient until
Squad 2 could arrive form Cardington. Squad 1 was already on
a call. Rescue 11 arrived on the scene at 9:02 am. Squad 2 arrived
on the scene at 9:10 am. Rescue 11 crew assisted with moving
the patient until released at 9:14 am arriving in quarters at
9:18 am.
09-296 Wednesday October 21st at 9:57 am Rescue
11 responded non-emergency to 447 North Boundary Street in Edison
for an open burn. Rescue 11 arrived on the scene at 10:06 am
finding a burning barrel with trash. The fire was extinguished
and Rescue 11 responded to another call.
09-297 Wednesday October 21st at 10:13 am Rescue
11 was dispatched to 720 North Main Street to assist Squad 1
with a non-responsive, non-breather. Rescue11 arrived on scene
at 10:14 am and assisted the squad with the patient. Rescue 11
was released and returned to quarters at 10:41 am.
09-298 Thursday October 22nd at 6:26 pm Chief 101
was dispatched to investigate a the smell of smoke in the area
of 344 Douglas Street., Chief 101 found where a party had been
burning a small pile of leaves. The person was advised of the
burning regulations and Chief 101 returned to quarters at 7:00
pm.
09-299 Friday October 23rd at 12:48 pm Brush 12
responded to assist Squad 1 with a patient at 313 Northfield
Drive arriving at 12:49 pm. Brush 12 crew assisted the EMTs
with the patient and returned to quarters at 1:45 pm.
09-300 Friday October 23rd at 3:06 pm Rescue11
responded to 5754 Co Rd 30 North of town for an MVC rollover.
Rescue 11 arrived on the scene at 3:11 pm finding a vehicle on
its top with all victims out. Rescue 11 checked the vehicle for
leaks, shut off the ignition and returned to quarters at 4:00
pm.
09-301 Tuesday October 27th at 6:06 pm Rescue 11,
Engine 15, Tower 18, Engine 23 and Engine 50 were dispatched
to a fire alarm at 367 South Delaware Street. Firefighters arrived
on the scene at 6:11pm finding the local apartment smoke detector
alarming. An odor of something burning was detected outside the
door. Firefighters broke thru the door to gain entry finding
a small pan with eggs burning inside. Apparently the occupant
had put eggs in a pan to boil, but had left. There were several
other pans and plastic containers on the stove. All equipment
returned to quarters at 6:37 pm.
09-302 Thursday October 29th at 9:57 pm Tanker
14 was dispatched MA with Station 59 for a chimney fire at 7208
St Rt 314. Tanker 14 responded at 10:01 pm and was cancelled
at 10:04 pm returning to quarters at 10:04 pm.
09-303 Saturday October 31st at 11:44 am firefighters
were requested a Medic respond to 367 South Delaware Street to
assist Squad 1 with a patient. The firefighters arrived on scene
at 11:46 am. All firefighters returned to quarters at 12:15 pm.
